It’s really all about everything in moderation and the ketogenic diet does not promote that. While it does have its merits in the specific treatment it was developed for, it doesn’t benefit most people. Simply saying that you are going to eat more fat is not a good approach! The ketogenic diet may have its place and may very well be safe to try for a limited period of time. Just as with any other diet though you never want to limit any food group dramatically, nor do you want to focus solely on another food group. Good balanced healthy eating will be what helps you to lose the weight and keep it off. This may be better served to help those with frequent seizures rather than to help with weight loss overall.
